From the 1930's Rainbow Pick Card Selection

Heavy gauged unbeveled edges and made of celluloid.

From the earliest known pick display come these unique plectrums.
The grommet ones were apparently more rare, or at least not illustrated in the ads than ran the Rainbow series from 1930-1937. That ad featured the Rainbow pick with a small grommet grip.

Note the different grips, 2 nodes on top, and 2 nodes on the bottom.
